Our facilities

The event is being held on a field so the ground will be to some extent rather rough. The grass is being cut for us before we take over the field.  Events have been held on the field in previous years (Jubilee) and baby buggies were able to move around on the surface on these occasions.

There are nappy change facilities in the two Accessible toilets on the Field.

Children and babies are welcome in all parts of the event. Children under 5 do not need a ticket and do not need to be registered for one of the events in the demonstration tents.

We will be allowing dogs to enter the event so long as owners recognise that not everyone enjoys the presence of dogs and that they must adhere to the following:

  • please exercise your dog elsewhere before bringing it to the Festival Field - there is nowhere within the event where it will be appropriate for the dog to relieve itself as other people may want to spread out picnic blankets
  • please keep your dog on a short lead the whole time you are at the event
  • please do not tie off your dog to chairs, gazebos, tables or fencing as they may cause an accident if  they become excited and pull on the equipment they are tied to
  • please do not take your dog into the more crowded areas such as the Beer Tent or the area directly in front of the stage where people may want to dance - the risk of tripping people over with the lead is much greater in a crowd where the dog cannot always be seen
  • please do not take your dog into the demonstration tents as these are food preparation areas
  • the bins provided are for general catering waste and recycling - please do not put dog poo, even in bags, in them . Please take dog poo bags home.
