TALK and TASTING:
Debbie will be talking a little bit about the history of Kombucha, and how she got started making kombucha. It all started as a hobby ten years ago and soon progressed into something much bigger!
She will talk in detail about the fermentation process and answer questions from those who are maybe considering making kombucha for themselves. So many people are worried about sugar in kombucha, but sugar drives the whole fermentation process!
She will also be offering tastings for all the flavours she is bringing to the food festival.

TALK and TASTING:
Maymessy is Taste the Flavours charity of choice. They bring the joy of cooking to survivors of abuse, refugees and adults with learning disabilities. Anna and Maia will talk about what they do, how their kitchen is a safe space where vulnerable people grow and develop confidence, and at the same time they will be demonstrating making a banana lassi- refreshing and healthy for summer.

Joining forces again - the combined critical palates of two dedicated local food entrepreneurs - presenting cheese and wine pairings which complement each other perfectly.
There will be an opportunity to sample 3 Portuguese wines; two from the Alentejo region and one from Minho, stars of the Added Ingredients range of fine wines (available in The Cowshed on Stert Street, Abingdon). Oxford Cheese Company will be selecting the cheeses they feel really work alongside each wine.

Ever wonder what really happens in a year of beekeeping?
Dave - The Beekeeper from Busby's Bees - will take you through a beekeeping year right from the opening of hives after a long winter break all the way through to closing them up for the year and everything in between. Come along and discover the life of bees, we'll talk about the important stuff, like what makes a queen bee so special, how the colony develops, as well as the history of beekeeping and how these fascinating little creatures help to control nature and their surroundings and the challenges that the honey bee population are facing currently.
